Scope
- To study stress values with existing design
and optimize the wall thickness for given
boundary conditions of the Gate Valve.
Execution
- The CAD modeling was done, Solid
mesh was created and FEA iterations were run
for different wall thickness of the parts
to optimize the weight.
Conclusion
- The wall thickness was reduced
from18mm to 13 mm. The weight of the valve
was reduced by 8.2 kg.
Scope
- To carry Static and Thermal Analysis
of Bonnet Assembly and optimize the parts for
given load and heat conditions.
Execution
- The CAD modeling was done, Solid
mesh was created Static and Thermal Analysis
carried out for different wall thickness to
optimize the weight of the assembly.
Conclusion
- Total weight of Bonnet was reduced
by 21.5 kg after optimization
